September 26, 2009 - Gathering #4

Well, the date is set for the next Mini Gathering.  "Wally & Rose Krueger"
will be in town next month. The Krueger's would like to extend an invitation
to anyone who would like to get together. This is another great opportunity
to meet Wally and others.

WHO: The Krueger Family
WHAT: Play Time
WHERE: 9937 S. Mayfield - Oak Lawn 
(along side the 3rd hole of Stoney Creed Golf Course)
WHEN: Saturday, September 26 - from 1:00 pm to ? ? :?

Directions to Krueger gathering with AGO pals. From tollway I-294

Take 95th St. (east) about 2.5 miles until to Central.  On central
make a right.  Go over set of railroad tracks and the 1st light you
come to is 99th St.  The 2nd side street after 99th is 100th st.
make a right.  There will be a church on the corner.  Take that all
the way down to stony creek golf course.  Right on Mayfield Ave.
We are 4 houses from the corner on the right hand side. 
The golf course is right across the street from us.

Wally's son has so kindly offered his home for the gathering.
Pizza, beer & soft drinks will be provided by the Krueger family.
Word has it there may also be some Mexican / Italian Food ... Yum Yum!
Oh, and I hear our Mary Beth will bring her usual famous"Rockies!"

So how about it AGO Kids, I'm sure we're gonna have a great old time!!!  
Let's mix it up and get some kids from all era's. Since a lot of kids left
before High School Graduation, some of them haven't seen each other
since grammar school years!

Just let us know if you would like to come out and play with us for the day.

August 15, 2009 - BREAKING NEWS – 4 KIDS GO HOME FOR GOOD!

Well, it's finally a reality, Mac was awarded custody of her 4 grandchildren
on August 15th, 2009. Mac, has spent 3 long years traveling back and
forth to Indiana to visit her Grandchildren and fight for custody.  The
children were all placed in separate foster homes and the only time they
could be together was when Mac rounded them up for an hourly visit
once a week.

Many Formers have asked what they can do to help? Mary Beth suggested
a Virtual Shower and what a great idea! Mac's family will now increase by
4 (1 Boy and 3 Girls.)  Wow, 4 kids going Home For Good!

Gift cards are a good idea, Jewel, Wal-mart, Target etc., but certainly
anything and in anyway you might like to participate is greatly appreciated.

Well, another GREAT Gathering at the Dunn Inn, it's always fun
to have these little get-together's.  It's a long drive for the Zampa
sister's, but they still managed to honor us with thier presence!
Noticeably missing was our Mary Beth Wiley, who has yet to miss
a Gathering.   She had a very good excuse, all the Wiley's were
attending a "Big Family Reunion! "

Thank you Rudy for planning this wonderful & fun Event and for
the personal Escort. Talk about first class service!
