In high school, we started  with 15 points and an allowance of  .40 cents a week.  (double that amount went into a savings) This covered our behavior in cottage, school and work.  Now for every 250 points we accumulated, we rec'd a dime raise!!!  Anytime we got in trouble, points were taken away.  So depending on how bad you were, it took you longer to accumulate 250 points. After you reached 1500 points (for those who were lucky) your raises were in 20 cent increments!

By the end of Senior year, I was making $1.80 a "week" (oh boy!) and about $240.00 in my account.
Wow, I was rich!        But it was enough for a deposit on an apartment and some groceries to start off with!
